A bassist since 1986, I also play guitar, sing (lead and harmony), run front-of-house and monitor PA, perform, teach and record. Have spanned the range from amateur and volunteer, to pro and touring. More arranging than writing from scratch. I’m happy to play along with others, and to lead a group when needed. Louds are loud and quiets are quiet.

Since 1990 I’ve loved the text—language, culture, history, interpretation, application. Some formal education, and much self-study through books and video. I like details, but only as long as they’re useful in some way. My desire is to be a student-servant: to see the entire Bible integrated into a wholistic life of love for God and service to the world.
Places I’ve formally studied and found good conversation:
This is my day job since 1998. Since 2003 I’ve been a freelance designer, and have created one of just about everything imaginable. My goal is to communicate clearly and concisely. Best way to get new work is through referral. Mostly for print and manufacture, and some WordPress websites as well. In recent years I’ve designed lots and lots of food packaging.

Since 2006 I have trained and taught European martial arts, specifically those practiced in Italy during medieval and Renaissance times. Grappling, dagger play, sword & buckler, longsword, rapier, spear, archery, from the ground and from horseback. A curriculum with levelled ranks, skill assessments and detailed multi-year teaching plan.
